Bags upon bags of Christmas cards were collected this week and weighed to reveal the winners of our House competition.
Raleigh collected a massive 67.5kg to win; Nelson were not far behind to gain second place with 52.5kg; Grenville 3rd with 23kg; and Rodney only managed to collect 8kg of cards.
The cards were collected for the Woodland Trust who, along with Marks and Spencer, was running their fifth annual Christmas card recycling scheme. For every 1000 cards collected M&S pledge to plant one tree.
We are not sure how many cards we collected, but with a weigh-in total of 151kg, we think that equates to around 15 trees! Well done to everyone for making the effort!
