
Toby, 11CO, spent a successful summer as goal minder for Team GB at the Roller Hockey Junior Olympics and World Championships in Hawaii, bringing home both bronze and silver medals!
Competing in the AAU Junior Olympics, Team GB did exceptionally well in the early stages, playing against teams from mainland USA, Hawaii, and Colombia. They went on to secure a bronze medal by beating Team Kahunas (Hawaii) 8:0.
Toby was awarded the "Most Valued Player" pink jersey by his coach during one of the games for getting a "shut out" (letting no goals in).

In the World Championships Team GB played Australia, Colombia, Hawaii, USA West, and USA South West; successfully making the finals they gained a silver medal after a very close and exciting match against USA West.
Toby was the only net minder with Team GB, playing a fantastic 12 games in 8 days. He showed great focus and stamina throughout, which contributed hugely to Team GB's medal success.
Toby has been playing inline hockey since the age of 8 with his local club the Brighton Stormers, at Southwick Leisure Centre. He has been a net minder since he was 10yrs old. He has played both regionally, nationally and internationally, he played for Team GB's in 2014 Junior Olympics in Las Vegas in 2014.
