A fun and thrilling day was had by all at Shoreham College’s annual U9 football tournament. Some great football was on show throughout the day which made a great afternoon for spectators as well as all of those who played. Shoreham College finished as runners-up in their group after only losing one of their games very narrowly 2-1 to the eventual winners, Windlesham House.
After making it out of the group, they had a game in the 3rd and 4th play-off game against Great Walstead School. A tight, end-to-end game which could not be decided in normal time, ended 1-0 to Great Walstead. Joe Whelan finished the tournament as Shoreham’s top goal scorer with Elliot Brand as Shoreham’s player of the tournament, often keeping the team in the game with important tackles. A big thanks to all of those who played, and to all who came to support.
